The woman behind A Crown of Beauty
Before I could help women discover who they are, God had to show me who I was.
Hi, I'm Aleaha, founder of A Crown of Beauty.
I know what it's like to look for love in the wrong places.
I know what it's like to feel like you don't belong, to allow other people's words to shape how you see yourself, and to wonder whether your life could become something different.
In 2023, I met a man named Jesus, and He changed my life.
My journey didn't suddenly become perfect. I still had to learn what it meant to stop trying to be a friend of the world and fully surrender to God.
Jesus began removing hindrances, confronting the things I had built my identity on, breaking me down and building me back up.
A Crown of Beauty was born in that rebuilding season.
Today, I'm a wife, a mom of two, an author, and a proud graduate of Norfolk State University, where I earned my degree in Social Work. My experiences, both personally and professionally, have deepened my heart for women and girls who are struggling to understand their worth, their identity, and where they belong.
That heart is also what led me to write Beyond the Labels, a faith-based workbook created to help women recognize the labels they've carried, confront the lies attached to them, and rebuild their identity on the truth of God's Word.
I'm still learning. I haven't figured everything out.
But I know what Jesus has done for me.
And I have a passion for the girl who doesn't feel like she belongs. The woman who has spent years searching for love, validation, or acceptance. The one who has allowed what happened to her, what she did, what people called her, or what she called herself to become her identity.
A Crown of Beauty is my way of reaching back for her and pointing her to the One who created her.
Because you are more than what happened to you.
You are more than what they called you.
You are more than the labels you've carried.
And you don't have to figure out who you are on your own.
"I love you, but Jesus loves you more."
